From Bourg d'Oisans

located 5km south of Bourg d'Oisans on the N91 behind the 'Solfege' restaurant
do not go to to Auris we are in the valley (no climbing from Bourg involved)

From Bourg d'Oisans take the N91 / D1091 south towards Briancon, Le Velo Jaune is in Le Clapier which is 5 km away, (after 4km you will pass by Les Alberges) . Approx 5km from Bourg d'Oisans you will come to slight incline (it is a v. small bridge over the river) it has an illuminated road sign above it, as you go over the bridge slow down and indicate right, take the right turning immediately at the end of the bridge (very small lane). The right turn is before the Solfege restaurant and before the right turn to Venosc.
Le Velo Jaune B&B is the first house on the left at the base of the slope.

If you miss the turn, take the right turn to Venosc then the immediate right down a lane past an old cement works, follow the lane round,Le Velo Jaune is the second house on the right.

Sat Nav - only use to get to Bourg d'Oisans, if you put in our postal address it will take you the wrong way (up a mountain)
 

By Air

The nearest Airport to the Le Velo Jaune Bed and Breakfast is Grenoble Airport which is about 1hr 15mins away by car. It is served by Ryan Air and Easy Jet at various times of the year. 

Lyon airport is approximately 1 and a half hours from Le Velo Jaune and is served daily by many carriers including Easyjet from London Gatwick & Stanstead, British Airways from London Heathrow, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Manchester and BMI from Manchester. Please check with the carriers for details.

During the ski season Chambray airport is served from the UKwhich is also about 1hr 30mins away is open during this period.

Car hire is available from the airports.

There are coach transfers from both Grenoble Airport www.grenoble-airport.com and  Lyon Airport  www.faurevercors.fr to Grenoble station   where a bus can be caught to Bourg d'Oisans / Les Clapier d'Auris.

 By Train

Eurostar to Paris then a TGV direct train to Grenoble where a bus can be caught to Bourg d'Oisans, Le Velo Jaune.

From Grenoble

From Grenoble Airport by Car approx 90 km 1hr 15 mins
Follow signs to Grenoble, which will take you onto the A48 motorway take the motorway towards Grenoble then get on the A480 motorway and follow signs for Gap & Sisteron.

Take exit no.8 (Gap, Briancon, Vizille, Stations de l'Oisans), which joins the N85 then, the N91/ D1091 to Bourg d'Oisans (Le Velo Jaune B&B 5km from Bourg d'Oisans)
Take the By Pass around Bourg and follow from Bourg d'Oisans

From Grenoble by Car
Follow the A48 motorway take the A480 motorway and follow signs for Gap & Sisterron.

Take exit no.8 (Gap, Briancon, Vizelle, Stations de l'Oisans) which joins the N85 then the N91/D1091 to Bourg d'Oisans.  (Le Velo JauneB&B is 5km from Bourg d'Oisans). Take the by pass round Bourg d'Oisans and follow from Bourg d'Oisans

From Grenoble by Bus
It is possible to catch a bus from Grenoble station directly to Le Clapier, the stop is 50m from the front door. In addition there are many busses that go from Grenoble to Bourg d'Oisans where we can pick you up. The bus  times and routes can be found on this web site: www.transisere.fr
